We did it! Section 1 Class A Champions! I am so, so proud of my team and all the hard work we put in this season! I feel like we got better as the season progressed.
Players of the game
Gianna Cilenti and Keira Meyers, Tappan Zee: Cilenti came in clutch with the game-tying and game-winning hits, coming through for her team late. Cilenti finished 2-for-4 with two RBI.
As for Meyers, she tallied 153 pitches in the circle and despite the high workload, somehow, it felt her best stuff came at the end. She totaled one earned run on five hits and five walks, and tallied 14 strikeouts. Meyers also went 2-for-4.
